Caught in the throes of a rat race, most of us forget about the numerous helpless animals abandoned, ill-treated and left to die around us. It takes the most genteel souls to go out of their way to rescue, foster and adopt every animal that needs some TLC. We met Amanda Stevens and Dora Tokai of Amanda's Animal Rescue (AAR) in Dubai at the pup festival, where rescued pets living in animal shelters are looking to be adopted into forever homes. The work done by the AAR team speaks volumes of their selflessness and their personalities.
